Algramo’s circular platform consists of 2 key components:
1.- Refill Stations (IoT dispensing machines).
2.-Smart Packaging used to dispense the product at the refill stations.
With our platform, you can refill your favorite products in reusable smart packaging, at fair prices, and without plastic pollution. You no longer need to pay for the packaging each time you purchase. You only pay for it once and then keep on refilling your regular product.
ll the packaging used in our platform is equipped with an RFID chip that links the packaging with our dispensers and the product you wish to purchase.
This technology ensures product quality and traceability allowing us to identify exactly which product was purchased at any of our refill stations, including the expiration date and the manufacturing batch number. It also allows us to track all of the plastic that has been avoided by using our smart packaging.
Today we are available at the Lidl Kingswinford store located on Stalling’s Ln, Kingswinford DY6 7BG. We will soon be adding additional locations so more people can join the refill revolution.
Today you can purchase 4 different product variants of Formil Laundry Detergent 875ml:
- Formil Non-bio – Super Concentrated
- Formil Biological – Super Concentrated
- Formil Laundry Liquid – Honey Petals – Super Concentrated
- Formil Laundry Liquid – Exotic Breeze – Super Concentrated
To ensure product quality and traceability our system in Lidl operates exclusively with Algramo Smart Packaging. This allows us to know exactly which product was purchased at any of our refill stations, including the expiration date and the manufacturing batch number.
Our Smart Packaging also comes with a unique intelligent ID that associates it with the product you bought. This allows us to track the environmental impact added with each refill you carry out.
In the near future, you will be able to create your own Algramo account and add all your Smart Packaging to it, having access to your consumption as well as your environmental impact and customized promotions.
Our Smart packaging is available next to our refill stations and you will need to acquire it with your first purchase. For future purchases, remember to bring your Smart Packaging to your Lidl store and you will never pay for any packaging again, saving money (paying only for the product) and avoiding plastic waste.
The Algramo Smart Packaging for Formillaundry detergents costs 20p. You only have to pay for it on your first purchase, then you just have to bring it along every time you need to refill your product.
There is only one type of smart packaging for all 4 products we are offering. So if you would like to purchase 2 or more different products at the same time, you will need to purchase another smart packaging.
The Formil laundry detergent products are currently sold in a standard 875ml format, mirroring the single-use packaging alternative. In the future you’ll be able to buy the product in variable amounts, enabling you to buy the exact volume you require.
Using Algramo’s solution you will save at least 10% and help the environment in the process.
The prices for the Formil laundry detergent refill products are:
£1.49 – Bio Concentrated Laundry Detergent 980ml
£1.49 – Non-Bio Concentrated Laundry Detergent 980ml
£1.69 – Honey Petals Concentrated Laundry Detergent 980ml
£1.69 – Tropical Lily Concentrated Laundry Detergent 980ml
When you purchase with Algramo, you are not only taking care of the planet but also of your family budget. You can purchase your regular laundry detergent for less and avoid the generation of plastic waste.
The Refill Station will operate during the normal store opening hours.
If it’s the first purchase:
- Select a smart bottle from the shelf in the refill station
- Select the product you want to refill
- Place your smart bottle inside the refill area
- Confirm and start the refill
- Take the ticket and pay at the checkout
If it’s a refill:
- Select the product you want to refill
- Place your smart bottle inside the refill area
- Confirm and start the refill
- Take the ticket and pay at the checkout
Once your refill is complete, the dispensing machine will print a barcoded ticket. Please present this ticket to the cashier to pay with the rest of your shopping.
The first time you use the Refill Station, the ticket will include the cost of the dispensed product as well as the smart packaging. For future refills, the ticket will only include the cost of the dispensed product, saving you money.
Please, remember to bring your smart packaging back to the store when you refill. If you take a new smart packaging, the machine will recognize it as a new package and charge you for it.
If you lose your ticket, you can reprint it at the dispensing machine at the store.
Alternatively, inform the cashier when you checkout and they will be able to assist you by using a code at the till.
If the packaging is broken or lost, you will need to purchase a new one at our Refill Station. In order to maximize the life of your package, we recommend you keep your container out of direct sunlight and where it will be protected from friction and shocks. Try to never lose it and reuse it forever!
To register your Smart Packaging you must place it in the loading area of the dispenser corresponding to each product at the Refill Station.
The expiry date, batch number, and quantity of product dispensed will be printed on the ticket issued at the dispensing machine once you have finished your refill.
Yes, we are using the same smart packaging for all variations of laundry detergent. Just make sure it is empty and has been rinsed at home.
Yes, the bottle can be recycled as part of regular household plastic recycling. The bottle is made of High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE), the label is Polyethylene (PE) and the Lid is Polypropylene (PP).
The chip is not waterproof, but as it is protected by the product label, the container can be cleaned with a damp cloth or disinfectant wipe. Do not immerse the packaging in water to clean it, a quick rinse with water should be enough.
You must bring your packaging empty and clean from home before each new refill.
Today this service is not available for online purchases.

If you pause the dispensation you can reactivate it directly in the dispenser or cancel it.
If you were to cancel your dispensation you would not be charged. In this case, please leave the unfilled or half-filled bottle on the shelf once you have made sure no dispensation is taking place.
If you try to pay with the half-filled bottle, you will be charged the total amount. We always recommend dispensing the full bottle.
